& Illness Prevention Program?
Your Injury and Illness Prevention Program
must be a written plan that includes procedures and is put
into practice.
The following elements are required:
- Commitment by the Employer's Management;
- Assignment of responsibilities;
- Two-way safety communications system for the employees
& employer;
- System for assuring employee compliance with safe work
practices;
- Scheduled inspections and evaluations to identify hazards;
- An accident investigation process;
- Procedures for correcting unsafe/ unhealthy conditions;
- Safety and health training and instruction; and
- Recordkeeping and documentation.
